It was pretty dark when I got up since we're having a storm, so I just grabbed any-ol' T shirt out of the dresser, and ended up with:

I have to share this. It is both hockey related and music related. Music related because it was posted on Facebook by Jim Gilmour, keyboardist for Saga (and an old high school friend of my brothers).

Agree, that was a lot of fun to watch. These young guys are really talented. They are still probably a year or two away, but I feel the most optimistic about the Winged Wheel that I have in about 5 years.

    Understatement. Of. The. Year.

I spent the end of my night reading this thing. Sad state of affairs.

^ Looks like you had good seats too. Nice.

The whole Kyle Beach thing is just heartbreaking. I watched an interview with him on TSN and it had me in tears. How this could have just been ignored is beyond me. Every single person involved should be kicked out of the league.

I saw the interview as well and subsequent interviews with players and others.

Its unfathomable and challenging to process - I cannot imagine the suffering of Kyle.

Yeah I saw that interview too. Really is gut wrenching. I'm with Torts...

Great crowd at CPA, they really got into the game. Not a bad seat in the house. A great selection of restaurants and booze! Nicely built but a little weird as the main concourse doesn’t connect all the way around the rink. At one end of the building you have to descend via elevator to the lower floor, cross 40 feet of floor and ascend in an elevator back to the main concourse in order to circumnavigate the arena. Weird.

It seems the ice itself is created from rainwater collected by a very expensive capture system.

I don't think the Leafs have played a game in two weeks. I mean, they've been on the ice but I haven't seen much game played.

Rangers beat the Kraken 3-1. It was a pretty tight game up until the empty net goal!

Nice seats! In the old days (pre-safety net) this would be prime souvenir territory.
This was the first Kraken game I've watched. It looked and sounded like the Seattle folks are really all in. Building was rocking throughout. They really love Gourde and Tanev.

How much does the Rogers' family feud affect the running of the Raptors and Leafs?

Was refreshing my memory on that clusterfuck and had forgotten the ownership stakes by the family in each.

And their first round pick is only Top 2-protected, otherwise it goes to Columbus.
