Tampa Bay is good. Really good. Those are my thoughts

Rangers started the game well and hung in there for the most part, but took way too many penalties and against Tampa that's a HUGE no no! They move the puck so well when up a man...damn it's impressive. Stamkos is deadly with that one-timer off the pass....wow.

Good week for the Habs... 3 in a row... They're gonna be in a dog fight all season long for one of those wildcard spots.

The Slick is 7-2-1 under Ken Hitchcock, a definite improvement from Todd McLellan's term this season. Better team play, a little more effort/energy, and keeping things simple have really made a difference, especially for the 3rd & 4th lines. A couple of tough(er) road games at Colorado and Winnipeg this week will be a nice test.

Habs totally shit the bad last night. Ugliest game of the season. They never seem to play well in Minneapolis. Not sure if that's because they always seem to play there at the end of a road trip. They won the first two on the trip and there was a let down. Wild jumped all over them.

Bolts and Leafs game should get a lot of interest - top 2 records in the league. Time for Tampa to silence the Leaf’s claim to having the best top nine in hockey.

Any Winnipegers here? Last night’s tilt with TB was quite the display of high octane hockey. Jets fans have a reason to be excited as they’re probably the toast of the West. Calgary packing some punch now too.

I was switching between that game and football last night. Winnipeg went toe-to-toe with the best team in the league. Impressve!

Seeing Winnipeg live a few games ago I really appreciate how good a team they are. Big, fast and just damn good. Speaking of live games, the last two I have attended (Winnipeg and Arizona) we were up 3-0 and lost both ...Winnipeg was a practice drill loss and Arizona in regular OT. Of course it had to be Stepan who got the game winner <slaps forehead>

Rangers coming back down to earth fast. Defense needs help badly. Henrik has been playing out of his mind, but he can only do so much.

The Flyers finally ended the disastrous Dave Hakstol experiment. And, of course, they even mishandled this, after a report came out this weekend that Hakstol was fired and Quenneville hired. Quenneville, when reached for comment, denied that he was hired. The Flyers denied that Hakstol was fired.

They make the announcement today, however Quenneville is not mentioned.

On a side note, they brought up their prized rookie goaltender, Carter Hart. Just what you want for the debut of your hopeful franchise goalie: A team in a tailspin with no real coach behind the bench.

    I used to like hockey.

Habs got the Bruins at home tonight then they embark on their annual Holiday Tour. Next 7 on the road, including 3 this week. This road trip is the lithmus test for this team as far as being a playoff contender or pretender.

The Philly sportscaster on the local news touted their rookie goaltender as the possibly best goaltender prospect in Philadelphia in 4 decades. I'm assuming they're going back to Hextall. That's high praise. I hope for Philly Fan's sake that it's not just hype. Anyway, the kid won his first tonight.

Oh, and the mascot thing attacked Santa Claus, which had to warm the heart of Philly Fan everywhere.

There were pleas last night to make sure that Carter Hart always has a safe ride home.

It was nice to see his parents get so much attention, too. I hope the kid lives up to the hype (if that's even possible).

Whoever runs the whole Gritty thing totally gets Philly.

Agreed. Die hard habs fan here as well... Think they can pull out wins vs Arizona and Vegas, but tonight can be a disaster in Denver.

Can look worse than they did at home against Boston. That was as bad as the debacle in Minnesota.

Woah! No posts in a bit.
Hope all are having a great holiday season.

At years end, in the East, doesn't look like any wildcards coming from the Metro. So the race for spot #3 is on.

I’ve been a regular watcher for over 40 years. If you’re Canadian, you’ll know that it’s become a holiday season ritual. Smells like the New Year.

In other news, the Bolts keep winning. Just barely. 6 goals a game is becoming standard, although so are quick comebacks by their opponents.

I wish the juniors was televised here. I'd watch every minute of it.

In more important news...the Rangers got their first away win in regulation last night against Nashville.

It is televised in the US, on NHL Network.

We have this same conversation every December.

I saw the Canada vs Suisse on TSN, but didn't know what it was. Wouldn't have watched Juniors anyway, tbh.
