Best comment I saw about this today was from some guy on Facebook where this video was posted https://twitter.com/NHLFlyers/status...news%2F1613033
"Sadly, Chewbacca's meth addicted cousin Todd, could only find gainful employment as a stripper in Philadelphia under an assumed name."
I thought it looked like a spaghetti squash exploded.
Wow....that mascot is bad.....
Man...its gonna be a long season....
Thank god for Gritty memes.

For those in the PE fantasy hockey leagues, don't forget that today (September 29th) is the deadline to select players you'd like to hold over in the keeper league. Draft in the traditional league is Sunday, Sept. 30th, and the keeper league draft is Monday, October 1st. See you in the draft room!
Speaking of fantasy hockey...anyone want in our standard league? We have an open spot. Draft is scheduled for Sunday night (as in Sept. 30th, tomorrow) and we'd like to stay on that schedule if at all possible.
Draft is at 8:30 right?

It begins tonight... I have not watched any pre-season hockey so I have no idea what sort of team we will have. I know that on the road in Toronto is a tough opener...

And so the pain begins...

lol
I am so disappointed. He could have been a legend on the Isles, on his route to a number retirement and hopefully playoff success.
Instead he''ll be lost amongst other high price crash n burn FAs that show up at the Maplebud Dome, never likely to be in a top 5 discussion about all time maple leafs.
But hey the money is good! [emoji106]

Habs played a good game last night. If this is the team that is going to show up on a regular basis then this season may not be a total wash out. No No1 line, but rather four No 3 lines. The 18 year old #15(name unpronounceable and unspellable without mixing the tiles of 2 Scrabble boards) did not look lost out there. Price looked like his reflexes were in mid-season form. In the end, the Leafs just have too much firepower... I'll take the point on the road...

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
Red Wings lost tonight, but I think they played with grit and some of the young guys look promising. I think it is cool that the team has a lot of guys from the home state of Michigan on the team this year. I don't think I ever remember as many as they have now.
The Flyers are undefeated since they introduced Gritty.

I'm strangely encouraged by the current Rangers situation. The roster is full of youngsters with upside; the new, relatively unknown head coach is enthusiastic and driven; and there's no sign of aging, high-dollar "stars" that are past their prime and just collecting one more big payday. David Quinn seems to know what his task is, and realizes that if the team is to improve it will be directly connected to the development of players like Pavel Buchnevich and Filip Chytil, and that stapling a young guy to the bench for making a mistake is counterproductive. And of course Hank is still Hank. It will probably be another season with no playoffs, but that's ok, if the improvement and development of the youngsters occurs.
