Folks, let's not lose sight of the fact that Boston has only played 15 games, so chances are pretty good that once they get caught up with the other teams in the divison, they will likely be on top.

Wow. How did they manage that?

Hard to say, Yves. I think there was no doubt payback behind that hit and he didn't let up , but not intent to smash his face against the glass...more just to hit him hard as hell. Mac D saw him coming and turned. Some blame has to go to him for that. He got the 2 mins. for boarding...maybe should have gotten 5. I tend to agree that it wasn't suspension worthy though.
This is a huge blow for us.

Hey Scott! You and me tonight. It's on brother. It. Is. On.
Well, fantasy team Kilgore Trout is starting Ben Scrivens this week. I guess I'm a Leafs fan for the next seven days.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.
No, no, no. Of course not.
It's a metaphor for our respective teams.

Yeah, I know. You're always a gentleman. My smiley did come out swinging first though, so yours might've just been defending itself.
Wow can't believe how many HAB fans are in Ottawa tonight!!
Wow. Phaneuf completely tried to play that puck with a broken stick.
Totally obvious penalty that goes uncalled!

Bummer.

You have to remember that Ottawa is a very big hockey town and we didn't have pro hockey from about 1929 - 1992. So in that time, most people became either Leafs or Habs fans. Some people like me immediately adopted the new home team as their own, but many, many others will cheer for their lifelong teams until they are in the ground. (On a personal note, I cheered for the Leafs as a kid, but kind of wised up when I was teenager that the Leafs, or more precisely, Harold Ballard, were POS.) I played fantasy hockey from the late 70s until 92, cheering for individual players and not really caring about any specific team.)
Anyhoo, whenever the Leafs or the Habs come to town, it's about 50/50. What's unbelievable is that Captain Alfie is routinely booed in his own building every time he touches the puck. Side note: I saw a Coyotes/Hawks game in Phoenix a couple of years ago and it was maybe 60/40 in favour of the Hawks!
This just in, from Genetic Control - work on BB2 is proceeding well. He is expected to be 4x6 when fully grown
According to the reports, there was some really great end-to-end action and the Habs had 45 shots on net. Sometimes the better team doesn't get the two points. From what I'm reading, Bishop is pretty strong in the shootout. He let in one in 7 rounds against the Rangers and now 1 in 5 against Montreal.
Like I said before, it sure is nice to have strong goaltending for a change. Ottawa has been plagued with mediocre to bad goaltending for a very long time.

Just saw that on NHL. The central division would have the Lightning and Panthers. I guess that's sort of like when the Buccaneers played in a division with the Bears and Green Bay.

Simon Gagne is a Flyer.
Again.
I've never seen a team re-tread their former players like this team.

Gotta state it's been fun to watch the Blackhawks. I was expecting no season due to the lockout, so I had minimal expectations. They've been keeping their game simple, in the words of da coach. And how about the two goaltenders, one from Montreal and one from Hamilton.

They're on an amazing run.
I always love when a team makes some history like that - makes it fun to check the box scores every night/morning.
