My wife & I have tickets to see Colin Hay (Men at Work) tonight in Concord, NH. Anyone here going? Anyone interested in my report afterwards?

Enjoy! Amazing voice - Overkill...
Did anyone see the episode of Scrubs that he made a cameo in? He was walking around playing his guitar singing "over kill."
I'd love to see Colin Hay live. How'd it go?
The performance was terrific! He is one helluva guitar player. All acoustic. He certainly can coach a variety of sounds.
His voice is unique & it was powerful when power was needed & soft when the mood required.
He played a variety of songs from his Men At Work career & the majority from his solo work. The Men At Work songs got the strongest applause but his solo pieces struck cords with many boisterous fans in the audience, myself among them.
He's also a great & funny storyteller. Among many things, he spoke of his recent diagnosis of prostate cancer. You could of heard a pin drop when he spoke of this, but he acknowledged this with good humor.
All in all, I'd give it an A+. From what I could see the theater was sold out. I hope he finds similar enthusiasm during this tour.
The meet & greet was fun as well. He was a bit stiff but truly tried to be engaging with the remaining fans. I purchased his new CD ("Next Year People", which, listening on the way home, I would strongly recommend) &, as he signed it, I asked if his health was ok. He seemed a bit startled by my query, but I rushed in to tell him of my recent brush with cancer (bladder; something I wanted to post on this site when I got this diagnosis back in September). Then we started talking about cancer & treatments, & life before & after. I felt I could have asked him out for a late supper & he would have agreed.
A moment & a night I'll not forget. I'll try to post a photo of the 3 of us so you can all enjoy in my enthusiasm.
