In unrelated news, Hacknad probably wouldn't be quite as clever a name as Squackett was.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I figured! I must say - Nad was a tremendously positive & fun person to chat with. This was a breezy promo. More in-depth stuff to come from our favorite Vampirate!

You lads are in for a treat, caught the Hackett tour in Wilmington Delaware last night. Must say I've seen Steve about 10 times over the years and this is one of the top performances, the band he's assembled is tight, sound mix superb, setlist is killer and he plays for close to 3 hours. The tribute to Richie Havens from the Please Don't touch album was a nice touch. Roine brings a lot to the table.
Yumpin Yiminee whatta show, I had seats right in front of the mixing console, isle seat with a unobstructed view right down the main isle to Steve.
A word to the wise ain't necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice.
Glad to hear you had a great time! I can't wait!

Saw 'em Thursday in Lynn, MA. It was great. Made me realize that the Spectral Mornings album was a lot better than I'd remembered, and I've been playing it a lot ever since.
Indeed, tremendous show. I noticed that the theater was not as full as his "Genesis Revisited" tour (which doesn't surprise me), but I think it was a better show. Great set list, and everyone is in top form (love what Rob Townsend does on winds!). Steve is the most vital of the Genesis alumni IMO, and he deserves all the accolades he gets.

I wasn't overly thrilled with the first set, some of Steve's solo material leaves me cold, but the Genesis set was light's out.
Great show tonight at a terrific new venue in Fairfield Ct called The Warehouse.
I enjoyed both sets equally, highlights being Everyday, Ace of Wands, The Cinema Show and Fifth of Firth.
A really stunning band with a keyboardist to die for . Give that man a proggy.

Indeed!

Is Roger King (keys) still playing with him?
I've got a bike you can ride it if you like
We attended the show at The Grand Opera House in Wilmington last week. Spectacular show. Steve sang a lot more than I expected, although I suspect some... enhancement was used on his vocal mic channel.
Interesting how the bass parts get traded amongst the bassist and both keyboardists. Almost seamless, but that's partly due (IMO) to the lack of dynamics in Roine's (and Beggs' before him) playing. Appropriate, but not subtle.
Steve commanded the stage in ways that I missed during the Genesis tours, great as they were. I though the solo material that comprised the first set was uniformly both great and superior to their original recorded versions.
I would have liked to hear Nad sing the Beggs version of "Spectral Mornings," but then it couldn't have been the show opener. And would have been weird in any case, Beggs being absent.
Too many cameras, though. It's getting very difficult to get lost in music at shows with people constantly waving glowy things around in your peripheral vision. I liked what Loreena McKennitt did a few weeks earlier when we saw her at the same venue; paused the show and did a brief "photo session" for the audience, then asked them to pleas put their cameras away for the rest of the evening. And they did, mostly.
