All good thanks Duncan, I got out of it pretty well.
“Pleasure and pain can be experienced simultaneously,” she said, gently massaging my back as we listened to her Coldplay CD.
With all the postings that have come and gone regarding those suffering with cancer, it's good to know that some are able to beat that beast and carry on with their lives. I'm so sorry it couldn't work out for Fusionera though. At any rate, her struggle is now mercifully over. RIP Johanna.
Wow, I knew her. This is sad news. We chatted in the old chat room and I even spoke to her on the phone a few times. I knew her brother also but not that well. She was more of a fusion fan than a prog fan (to some people it's all the same anyway)and she had perfect pitch as far as her hearing and playing are concerned. I'm pretty sure she played the flute. She was a big Holdsworth fan too. I lost track of her over time and eventually she just kind of disappeared from PE. I knew she had cancer at some point so I'm not really shocked to hear this news but nonetheless it's still very sad to hear. RIP Johanna.

I remember the screen name. Sorry to read about this. RIP.
I didn't know her or chat with her but I read a few of her post and she seemed like a great women. Always excited to see AH and that I understand. RIP Sister.
Never met her in person but I do remember her from her time on PE, talked music with her several times. RIP Jo
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart
I never exchanged with her, but I remember her from the old site (and the pic of her with AH)
Rest in Peace Johanna

I unfortunately can't remember her from when she was active here, but very sad news nonetheless.
RIP.
Always such a friendly, welcoming presence in the old Chatroom.
You're not forgotten here.
Does it matter that this waste of time is what makes a life for you?
Regrettably I never knew her. I'm very sorry to hear this.

I remember her, but I can't say we made any kind of substantive connection. Still, those were good times, my heart goes out to the friends and family who survive her.
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
Sad news. RIP.
I remember Johanna posting on PE. What a really awful and tough way to go. My condolenses.
Oh that's really sad to hear, RIP Johanna my thoughts are with you.

R.I.P. Sad news. I do remember her on the Old PE and my condolences go out to her family especially Prog Owl. I have not heard from him on years. He was good chap and I was the first one to buy his CD and I do recall that I liked it a lot. Have to break it out a give a whirl.
a wonderful person
we never met but spoke of music often and traded some rare stuff
I will be sure to be there to greet her upon her resurrection
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
So sorry to read this. She was always in the chat room here on Prog Ears several years ago. She actually influenced me to check out some of Holdsworth's albums! I lost touch with her over the years, and now I'm sad to read she lost her battle with cancer.

That’s very sad. That picture looks familiar, I might have met her at one of the East Coast festivals (Prog Day or NEARFest). I definitely remember the username and her posts to PE. R.I.P. in any case.
