Suggestions for current psych rock bands!

I've been listening to older psych rock like the Beatles MMT and Donavon's Sunshine Superman. Can anyone suggest modern prog or rock bands that are trippy and psychedelic? Thanks.

My current go-to for neo psych is Jacco Gardner, i can't get enough of this guy

More bands well worth looking into -

    Dungen
    Tame Impala
    Temples
    Pond
    Purson
    Flaming Lips
    Chemistry Set

The local radio station has a great show that's all psych, the programmer has what seems like a bottomless pit of current day, international psych bands he sources, all worth looking into, it's archived here-

Are you looking for heavy psyche or more of a pop-oriented psyche?

    Heavy Psyche:

    Colour Haze
    Sungrazer
    Causa Sui
    Pyramidal
    Domo
    Brotherhood Of Sleep
    My Sleeping Karma
    Earthless
    Weedpecker

    Pop-Oriented psyche:

    The Wolf People
    Violet Swells
    Secret Colours
    Sleepy Sun
    The Amazing...

I'm just going off the top of my head right now. If I had access to my collection I could probably spew many more names... Neo psyche is my current thing! Bandcamp is loaded with excellent bands. Just search under tags for "psychedelic rock"...

This thread has the potential of becoming the new Stoner thread. Keep 'em coming.

I have tried to start a thread on neo psyche, but it disappeared after 2 pages. Once I get home, I can go through my iTunes and list a few more names. I keep separate playlists for "Heavy Psyche" and "New Psychedelic", each of which contain well over 500 songs apiece; and feature almost exclusively bands from the 21st century.

    Quantum Fantay
    Ozric Tentacles (of course)
    Hidria Spacefolk
    Magic Mushroom
    Hedvig Mollestad Trio

Not current but modern (and venerated) is Olivia Tremor Control. They absolutely nailed the low-fi psych vibe. Sadly, they'll always be no more since the passing of founding member Bill Doss.

Another Athens, Ga band (and far-less publicized) from the same scene is The Summer Hymns. Also defunct but also great.

I'm going to second Wolf People, and then I'm going to third them.

Really, I take every opportunity I can to boost them, because they are freakin' awesome!

The OP wants POP-Psych not Space-Rock-Psych and certainly not Stoner - think Byrds not Follakazoid...

So I'd be no help, cause I don't listen to that branch...

Brian Jonestown Massacre. Probably known by most people interested in neo-psychedelia, but I hadn't seen them mentioned yet.

Like Mythos said, the OT wants bands at the pop end of psych...So think late 60s trippy beat-pop rather than late 60s hard/space/acid rock.

From my pop-oriented list in my post above:

    Violet Swells:

    Secret Colours:

And a band I did not mention: Kingdom Of The Holy Sun:

Thanks for the list. I'm more into pop psych, I guess, as I'm only 15. The avatar I use is of one of my father's favorite albums, but it's a little over my head, I think. He says that I probably like it when I'm older.

Facelift- actually, they are hardcore Byrds fans. That album does not have a bad song on it. I saw them live years ago at International Pop Overthrow, and they were standouts. Still active now.

Just heard this track on NPR's World Cafe this morning, definitely got a nice psych feel
