Rumor From A VERY Reliable Source

For those interested, I'm sure that visas etc. have to be worked out again (right, Ms. O'Donnell?) before this is fact, but I heard that there is a good possibility that a certain Norwegian band that took its name from a song by a certain Swedish band will grace the RosFest stage once again in 2016. I for one would be elated. Would also coincide approx. with their new album.

If you are referring to Magic Pie they've already been announced(yesterday actually)so it's no longer a rumor.

In fact, all but three bands have been announced so far. Two of the announced bands are headliners. You can see the latest info here: http://rosfest.com/

I think it's interesting that Magic Pie was a headliner at Rosfest 6 or so years ago, and now they are the Friday night opener. I'm hoping this means that the two unannounced headliners for 2016 will be super big names. But maybe Magic Pie was only able to fit that Friday in their schedule, and the headliner spot was already taken.

It's just my opinion but Rosfest isn't really the kind of festival that is caught up in whether a band is headliner or not or status or name recognition or whatever. One year they had Lazuli as a headliner for example. I bet most people didn't say "Ooh, Lazuli. I definitely have to go now." It's more like Progday in the sense that they know they don't have the super big budget to get the most obvious headliner bands but instead go for bands they really like and those they think are really special get to be considered for the headliner slot. Sure popularity is a consideration but it's not the be all end all. In the end it is much more about substance than name recognition for it's own sake. Again, just my opinion.

Except for ProgDay, the good slot is 12:30 ... right as the day is heating up and right before everyone's fried.

So the point of this thread is to tell everyone that you CANNOT tell them who will be appearing at ROSfest?

We come very close with oxymorons: Yves' logic.

Personally, as soon George said "Rosfest 2016" I was in.
