    Oh of course, understood, understood.

    Jimi Hendrix Experience

Always loved the three guitar solos in Mr. Soul... and the three vocalists in Natural Born Boogie...

Piper (at least when I saw them live in 1978 opening for Kiss); Billy Squier didn't have a guitar for the first couple of songs; he just sang.
When he strapped on a guitar later in the set, I figured it was just a prop but then he played some leads along with the other two
    guitarists.
Squire is actually a pretty decent guitarist. I've seen him solo a couple of times and he played lead on pretty much everything. I forgot about April Wine. They had 3 guitars when I saw them as well.

I know Mick Jagger played guitar in the studio, but did he ever play it live?

The double trio version of Crimson. Gunn acted frequently as a third guitarist.

Mad River - one of the zaniest rock bands of all time. One of them was Dave Robinson, whose playing could be nothing short of mesmerizing. I dunno who made this ludicrous video, but it kinda fits. Great tune anyway.

The Beatles during "The End" on "Abbey Road." One of the greatest three-guitar attacks on record, IMO.

Mick has been picking up guitar for a few songs for years now.

I once saw a Robert Plant show where he picked up a guitar and played rhythm while his two guitarists wove leads.

Another three guitar band I had forgotten: Band Of Susans. I read about them in Guitar Player circa 1989, but I'm not sure I ever actually heard anything by them.
