The calls went against the Cavs for sure, but if JR Smith doesn't play like JR Smith (he consistently plays as dumb as a bag of rocks) then the Cavs have a chance to win. If an 80% free throw shooter can make a pair of free throws, then the Cavs are spared an outcome in which JR Smith's brain plays a meaningful role. If Kevin Love can do anything more on defense than watch people sail past him for easy layups, the ending doesn't come down to those free throws.

In short, Lebron played like the immortal God (the best of all time) that he is, and the rest of the team played like the pile of garbage that they are (on offense; on defense Kevin Love is the pile of garbage). Yet in the final moments, all his teammates needed to do was not be terrible, and the Cavs probably win, bad calls and all. They couldn't even do that.

Even if he makes the last FT, there's still nearly 5 seconds left and GSW have one timeout. they can definitely get a good shot off. BTW just to add insult to injury LeBron clearly was calling timeout with about a second left. Refs missed that too.

It will be interesting to see if, after the justified media crucifixion of the refs, whether or not the NBA will replace them going forward.

NBA officiating is almost as bad as NHL officiating.

That said, JR Smith cost the Cavs the game last night. That was unforgivable.

I would very highly doubt that. Leagues usually defend the officiating, regardless of how obviously awful it is.

And Draymond Green committed a lane violation on George Hill's missed free throw. It was a cornucopia of incompetence.

Been watching the low lights on this game. Lots of bad blood. I guess I'm rooting for the underdogs. Let's hope Dramond Green gets his ass ejected for the series. I hate that guy. Loudmouthed, obnoxious a-hole.

"Hill missed the shot, which could've put his team ahead by one point. As Rick Noland of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram tweeted, the league deemed Green's violation "incidental or immaterial."

Excuse me? If the violation is called, Hill gets to shoot the free throw again. How is that incidental? The NBA office is looking like a joke. Everybody knows what happened last night, at least in the big picture sense.

The NBA isn't looking like a joke. The NBA is a joke.

That'll teach 'em to create an NBA Commish Jewish dynasty.

Going into the Finals, we knew we were going to get that smug winning face of Curry, or that smug winning face of James .

I look forward to the next wave of NBA title champs once these teams begin to flounder.

I don't think you'll see that kind of behavior from the Greek Freak when the Bucks win the NBA title next year (or maybe the year after).

Bryan Colangelo has finally been fired. Err....been asked for his resignation.

No idea why it took so freaking long. Good riddance.

Terrific player. I'll never be able to respect him though.

It's insane that it's taken this long to get rid of him.

Now there are reports that Jerry threatened to "damage the team" if they fired his son.

    What a wonderful family.

Any chance now of LeBron going to Phila?

There's a chance, but I think that if he doesn't stay home, he'll go to the Lakers.

So predictable, I feel like a precog. No matter what kind of lead the Cavs have, I feel they'll blow it.

A lot of buzz about hiring David Griffin as GM, which should help with that.

Now that Colangelo's gone, Brett Brown is the chief recruiter, and he has a great rapport with most players. We'll see.

I don't see LeBron going with the Lakers AT ALL.

I'm probably a lot closer to the epicenter, and hear rumors that you don't. Is that conclusive? Hell no. My guess is he knows what he's doing already. How many others know? Not many, I'd guess.

One fact that isn't speculation is that LeBron has 2 homes in the LA area and 0 homes in the Philly area.
