Aaaaaand it looks like the Sixers will play the Heat in the first round. Rumor has it the Heat tanked last night's game against the Knicks because they want the 7th seed so they'd face the Celtics. I hope that is not true. You play to win. You play the cards handed to you.

That left the NBA a long time ago.

The Bucks are in at #8, but they too want to move up (not down) to #7 to get the Celtics, who they match up with better than anyone else in the conference.

They were tied with the Wall/Beal whizzers (Wiz have the tie-brk) until they went to sleep against the lowly Nets Thu night.

There are actually people out there who think that Ben Simmons doesn't deserve Rookie of the Year.

I haven't seen Donovan Mitchell play, so I can't really comment. I have a very high opinion of Simmons, though.

I believe that the #7 Bucks WILL take #2 Boston to 7 games (or at least 6).

    130-103, Sixers.

    Without Embiid.

The Rookie of the Year was a rebound short of a triple double. In his first-ever playoff game.

Fucking embarrassing. Get rid of Whiteside. Damn whiney, worthless, childish punk. Why do we put up with him?. Get rid of him.

Yeah, they lost in overtime in a game that featured one of the most unbelievable ends to regulation forcing OT that I've ever seen (check highlights later), but this is going 7 and if the Bucks win game #2....

I was initially surprised that both Barkley & Kenny the Jet picked the Bucks to win the series, but that was before I knew that Uncle Drew was out for the series.

That was the Heat team that I expected in Game 1. Wade was lights-out.

Looks like Embiid may be out longer. It's unfortunate but injuries happen. The series is far from over.

The word here is that there's no way he misses Game 3. His words were: "Fucking sick and tired of being babied."

We'll see. After last night I'm a little more confident in the Heat but my concern is Whiteside. For a big man who shows flashes he's inconsistent, he whines like a brat and he's unreliable. The team has been more than patient. Get rid of him. He's had 4 years. Wade isn't gonna have dominating performances too often, but who knows?

From what I've heard Embiid hasn't even practiced with the team. He should play though if he's up to it.

If the Sixers lose game 3 - and I expect that they will - you'll find out what that team is made of in a hurry. Some young teams with no playoff experience lose their first series, because they really had no idea what playoff basketball was going to be like, and what kind of play it takes to win those games. Others learn what they need in the first few games and then go on to win that series. It depends on how talented the team is (and how good the opponent is). We'll see how good this year's Sixers are in the coming days.
