Watching Cavs vs. Spurs. The Cavs are wearing tank tops that say The Land. What is that about?

LeBron was seen at Malvern Prep last week, a prestigious charter school in the Philadelphia suburbs, and there are reports that he was scouting their program for his son.

Philly makes an awful lot of sense for LeBron.

^ Yeah, they had those on the local news tonight. Pretty funny. I'd be stunned if he went to Philly.

It makes perfect sense, if you think about it.

Not really. He doesn't want to mentor kids, and Philly's team is almost all youngsters. Also, their best player has a lengthy injury history and has yet to play a full season. LeBron could go to a similar situation in Minnesota, only they have a veteran star in Jimmy Butler. It would likely be more appealing, with the caveat that it's in the West. I don't see either option as his choice, though.

He has to deny it. He can't admit that he's already shopping for his next team - he's still under contract!

Well, he denied he was even there, much less looking. You are aware that he was supposedly in Los Angeles about a month and a half ago, with Savannah, also scouting private schools in which to enroll Bronny? It's a common trope used by fan bases to gin up their fellows.

I'm trying to let you down easy. I know what it's like to get your hopes up, and then wham! Lucy jerks the football away at the last second.

Here's a fun Ben Simmons stat:

    If he played for:

    IND
    TOR
    NYK
    LAC
    MEM
    ATL
    MIA
    CHA
    UTA
    ORL

...he would already be the franchise leader in triple-doubles.

Tonight LeBron became the first player in NBA history to record 17 assists in a game without committing a turnover.

Simmons just had 15 without a turnover the other night. LeBron has kinda "mentored" Ben - I wonder if he felt the need to go out and one-up the kid.

I doubt it. The assists are dependent on the receiver making the shot. Most likely it just happened in the normal flow of the game.
