    The Ultimate Prog God is…………?!

    Fripp,Waters,Jon Anderson,Wakeman,Howe,Gabriel,Hammill,Ian Anderson,Latimer,Gilmour,Hackett,Lake,Squire etc.
Just some of the names that have made progressive rock so popular over the years, but who deserves the accolade of rightly being called THE ULTIMATE PROG GOD?
Who has made the biggest contribution to prog rock over the years?

    Nobody.

The whole thing with prog is that the music's bigger than the people who make it.

Can you think of one prog musician with the charisma and larger-than-life stature of Mick Jagger, or Rod Stewart, or Elton John? I can't. Ian Anderson comes closest, but with him it was so plainly an act by a smallish, funny-looking guy putting on a show. The onstage Mick, Rod, and Elton, though, are essentially bigger versions of who and what they are in real life - and that's what you need to be, to be to be a real rock star.

Like Gentle Giant told us, no god's a man. It stands to reason that no man's a god either.
