    ANTA- English Neopsyche/ Instrumental Prog

Has this band been discussed here? Just came across them today on Bandcamp and proceeded to buy both their studio releases:

The Tree That Bears The Equine Fruit (2010):

Debut record. Very retro sounding psyche-influenced prog, reminiscent of what Astra released on The Weirding.

    Centurionaut (2013):

Heavier, angrier follow-up disc. The band is maybe more akin to Djam Karet or even Guapo on this record.

Both records are superb imo, though I prefer the less ambitious, old school sound of the debut.

    Any fans?

We've played with them on many occasions - great band.

I've heard the debut. Good but not great. I remember it being mastered loud as hell.

I saw this band and they were excellent and heavy.

Fans of Zombi should have a listen.

They're far more complex than the Zombi material I have heard.. I've been digging these guys quite a bit of late....

Well, thanks to the spambot above, I checked out Anta and rather liked it

Ended up ordering Centurionaut on CD.

    Thanks for the tip!

This Kamilla guy is associated with the band?

John, "The Tree That Bears The Equine Fruit" is also a very good disc. It has more of a retro sound to it and maybe isn't quite as complex as "Centurionaut" but it's a good record.
