If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Also, Ephemeral Sun: it's a thing and we like making things that might be your thing: https://ephemeralsun.bandcamp.com
It came around before Necromonkey (I think!) but is very much in the same vein. Lovely fun stuff:

So far I can say that I might prefer the first album just a wee wee wee bit more, but I need more spins of "Glimpse". Its certainly killer and the highlight for me is the 4th track (title track). The compositions seem more, I dunno, mature perhaps (?), and maybe more developed on the sophomore effort, but there is a directness that hits me a bit more on the debut. Both are great, and both have an incredible amount of detail that I just respect the hell out of - there is so much happening within the sonic palette that multiple spins are required imo to begin to scratch the surface. What a great synergy that has evolved between Mattias and David - they certainly have found inspiration somewhere and used it to great extent. Totally tubular stuff for sure. More spins for "Glimpse" and then on to the newest one.

In a nutshell, I love it. If I *had* to choose, the 1st album might inch out the second one, but they are both stellar.
Right now, I am having a blast on YT catching up watching a shitload of videos (live and studio) that Mattias has created. Just absolutely loving this stuff
There are a few themes that just strike a lightning bolt through my soul like part II of "Asshole" and the coda segment to "Glimpse", but there are others too. I am almost putting off hearing the newest album because sometimes that first magic spin is never bettered, and I'm not sure I'm mentally ready.
I fucking MUST see them live when they come back here.
Hey Frank, since you and others are digging the 'Monkey, thought maybe you'd enjoy listening to this conversation I had with the Main Monkey a few years ago.

Will probably download the latest from bandcamp in the upcoming weeks, I have about 10 albums lined up from bandcamp currently and I'm getting itchy to pull the trigger.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

NECRO-MUTHA-FUCKIN-MONKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, I love love love 'Hertz'. Its as good as the other two easily, maybe even better in some ways.
BTW, my 9-year old son LOVES the track "Spoken" from Necroplex and he can't get over the distorted 1920's Chicago-type thing, and he keeps asking me how they did it - I really have no idea? He actually walks around the house humming that little riff - its pretty hilarious!
Necromonkey is awesomesauce. If you ever have a chance to see them live, make it happen. Monstrous.
