I actually listening right now to Ciccada - A Child in the Mirror. I do not know what to think about it. It sounds retro, quite interesting but the vocals are kind of mismatch

Wait'll you hear M- the title track is one of my favorite tracks of all time. I hate lists, and I cannot make a desert island list of albums that would need less than a van to bring, but if I had to choose just ten songs that i could listen to over and over again, without ever getting tired of them, "M" would be one of them. Great melody, great changes, great soloing.....

As for Abercrombie + ECM = good? Absolutely, but of course his solo career as a leader really has been exclusively on ECM; recordings on other labels you'll find are collaborations (and there are some great ones). But if it's John as a leader alone, then it is ECM....and it's also very, very good!

Later that day, "Clockwork Angels" became the first PROG album I listened to in 2013.

Steve Tibbetts - a mix from many of his albums. Amazing.
Anthony Phillips, thanks to a very informative thread!

I play the same album every year in the small hours after midnight:

Does it matter that this waste of time is what makes a life for you?

I ended up putting on "Outlandos d'Amour" by The Police, right after midnight.

We were pretty wasted by then...

Bill, they're related to Maneige. Both releases are worth having, imo.

I was playing Thin Lizzy "Live & Dangerous" when midnight hit.

First properly released (arguably) and i believe listened to new album of '13 would be Omar Rodriguez Lopez's Equinox for me...like the majority of his solo work...a miss save a few good bass lines/grooves.
