She's playing Boston on ProgDay Saturday & it's sold out. So I guess I'll catch her next time.

Tried to get into Calvi but it hasn't "taken" yet for me.

But damn...love me some Holter. Saw her live @ Big Ears two years ago and just about fell in love.

BTW she also has a new one coming out soon: http://www.juliashammasholter.com/
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I bought their records from day one and stopped after "Takk". Sigur Ros are and that didn't age very well with me. The last 8 years, the only album I revisited 2-3 times is their debut "Von", which I think is the only one that still makes a challenging impression on me. Next one should be "( )", for which I had a soft spot back at the times.

Very interesting artist. She started as a good modern version of Siouxsie Sioux meeting Zola Jesus, but managed to sound more like herself with each new record of hers. Her "Apokalypsis" and "Abyss" albums are still on heavy rotation and I love her ingenious take on Burzum's "Black Spell of Destruction".

Have seen her live in Roadburn (2012) and I was impressed.

My favorite is Ágætis Byrjun, and my favorite song on that is (total goose bumps!) "Olsen Olsen"

(which features at the climax of the Wes Anderson movie 'The Life Aquatic')
