Jeff Healey style... technically.
Nice!
Sustain for days.
no tunes, no dynamics, no nosebone
Damn straight
Great video. Beautiful playing.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
Indeed!
He appears to be blind like Jeff too.
I heard a guy in Hawaii (Oahu, actually) that was blind and played with the guitar in his lap like that too. He was also really good, wish I could remember his name. He was playing in a duo with another guitar player at an outdoor bar/restaurant and both of them sang. Though they were playing pop, he snuck some jazz in there, always in a very tasteful way. I told him that I could tell he plays jazz and he said, "I try to." I bought (what I thought was) their album, but it was really the other guy's project and the blind guy was only on a couple of tracks. I should dig it out, find the guy's name and see if he has any vids on YT. Until then, you'll just have to take my word; he was really good!
That's Pete Jones of Tiger Moth Tales. Check out his/their albums on Bandcamp:

He's also done several Genesis covers which you should be able to find on Youtube, including More Fool Me and Musical Box on guitar and (I think) Guide Vocal/Firth of Fifth on piano.
Walter Kaluna 1939 - Awesome Hawaii slide - dunno if its lap guitar.
