I find it to be very interesting. You have the melody and some of the lyrics that show up in The Revealing Science of God, the Siberian bit, Wakeman and Howe solos, and Bruford is on fire. Kind of rekindled my wondering about how Tales would have turned out if he had hung around. Probably most interesting to me is the fact that they seemed to consider it a throwaway - the fact that it survived was just a stroke of luck.

There is also an alternate take of Mood For A Day that contains a bit of what would turn up 2 years later in To Be Over.

My ex recently reclaimed her PS3, so I'm currently without Blu-ray-playing facilities, but the stereo mixes of the new Fragile are great, everything clearer. And some lovely extras. "All Fighters Past" is, indeed, incomplete, but still very interesting. It's more "The Revealing Science of God" than "Siberian Khatru". The alternative "South Side..." is great too. The packaging and liner notes are top notch too.

But why have Panegyric stopped here?! I'd love to see further Yes albums given this treatment. Tales, Drama, Time and a Word... and surely a 90125 box would sell well.

Just for the record, it's actually exactly 3 years (August 1971/August 1974).

You are right - however Fragile for me is ingrained as a 1972 album since that it when it was released in the US. I remember getting back to school from Christmas break, unloading my stuff in my dorm room, and the college radio station was playing it. Funny the stuff that sticks in your mind.

Been searching Youtube for samples but nothing as yet.. these comments have me intrigued.. Fragile is the only release that I never bought when the Rhino releases came out.. Figured I already had enough versions of America..

    That stinks. Sorry, Henry.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

? My PS3 is my Bluray player and I send HDMI to my receiver. Bluray gives me DTS master lossless audio.

Thanks. We split some months ago: her favourite album was King Crimson's Beat, so it was never going to last. ;-) But she was overseas so I got to use the PS3 for many extra months!

I know Wilson has been quoted recently as saying there are no more "for now" and he had started on Tales. I thought, initially, that Time and a Word was to be part of the series. And of course I'd love to hear Drama and 90125 in addition to those two.

I would hate it if "Tales" in 5.1 wouldn't see the light of day!
Also, I think 90125 would be a very cool listen in 5.1, not least because of all the vocal harmonies.
