Sun Ra: Space is the Place - Any good live versions?

I was binging out on the early, classic-era Saturday Night Live seasons and came across Sun Ra's phenomenal performances of "Space-Loneliness" and "Space is the Place."

So, I bought the album Space is the Place, and was somewhat disappointed. The live version had many more horn players, percussionists and singers than the rather scrawny forces represented on the studio recording.

I would love to have a CD (or even better yet, DVD if one exists) of Sun Ra playing "Space is the Place" and other similar material, with a fuller band like in the SNL clip.

Can anyone recommend any live versions on CD or DVD?

Mo- I was at the 72 A Squared B and J Festival as well. Ra was great, but the Art Ensemble was greater yet. Remember them doing Odwalla? Remember how fine the CJQ was? Seeing Sippie Wallace? New Dalta Akhra? What a show!

Contempoary Jazz Quintet with Kenny Cox?.Lucky you.

Yes, Contemproary Jazz Quintet- they had a great sort of fusion record out back then, though they could play in and out and all around. Mostly Detroit musicians, like Charles Moore and Leon Henderson, along with Cox. mogrooves, no not from Denmark; that's a different and more modern band.
