Well ... those emoticons don't repeat well in a quote

Whoah - the emoticons in the quote on post # 50 came out as text. Then when I did a refresh, they came out as pictures.

Gotta figure out the underlying logic...

They look fine in Safari on my iPhone. And in Chrome on the wife's iMac. I noticed the refresh thing earlier too and it did not involve a quote but the original post with emojis. Strange.

Edit via Chrome/iMac: In general I'm pretty impressed with the mobile app. I'm not likely to post anything lengthy without a real keyboard under my fingertips, but for quick responses and reading posts the mobile app is much better than what I was doing (when using my iPhone to keep up with posts) which was reading via Safari.

Gotta redo the signature, I see. Nice option to have separate sigs

    how do you guys reply?

I have to tap the message then a pop up with "quote" and other things comes up but is there a way to reply without quoting the message?

Yes, it might be nice to indicate when posting from the mobile app. Posts would probably tend to be more brief.

There's a very small box at the very bottom called Quick Reply.

Just click there and start typing

Interesting that emojis work from this app but not from Safari's app.

I just noticed I have a title in bold in post #33....no idea how I did that!

Edit: I can't see the bolded title in the mobile app, but I'm seeing it in Chrome on the iMac.

I'm using an abbreviated signature when on the phone, and a more verbose one when on the pad.

No reason - it just seemed cool

    'K.

I also see that you can either type directly into the quick reply, or hit the little up arrow to get the full functional reply dialog

On the iPhone you can click in the reply box at the bottom of the screen or click the "+" next to the reply box which gives you the more fully-featured reply screen.

Also if you click in the reply box (quick reply) you can get to the full reply mode by clicking the three dots in the upper right hand corner and click on Reply in the little raft of (somewhat larger) icons that pops up.

We've played with this a bit and found it to be reliable (so far), perhaps a bit quirky, and generally easy to use.

I'm ready to announce this to the board.

    Your thoughts?

    Duncan

Where will it be available? Presumably through iTunes - will it be on Google Play, too?
