Wish they would come a little closer to me. I have still never seen this band.

Good band--a good example of good pop neo prog---not a easy thing to pull off.with class ....note to Yes and other bands trying to pull it off going forward.

I don't suppose NDV is playing with them this time around?

Unfortunately, what ya see is most likely what you will get.

For TFF lately, they get an offer for a festival or private show, then they build a few shows around that date. Again, Curt won't really tour too much because he doesn't want to be away from his daughters, so going out for long periods of time isn't in the cards for them.

Sadly, no, and I feel their performances suffer from not having him around. Gone are his rich backing/lead vocals, and of course, his smooth & groovy drumming.

Saw TFF this past Monday at the Capitol Theater in Portchester, NY.
Great show! I was so glad to finally see them. They played just about all the hits, and a really broad selection of material - even a couple of cuts from the non-Curt cd's. The band was great as well. Their background singer (Carina Round) played a few songs as a warm up. I have to admit, I was really hoping TFF would just play, but I was a little embarrassed by how the crowd treated her. I don't know, it seemed like an older crowd, and I just expected them to be a little more respectful. She handled it all with good humor, though.
Unfortunately, no NDV, but the drummer - Jamie Wollam - was no slouch!
Anyone else catch them on this short tour?

Sad to say, I have little to no respect for Carina Round when she performs.

In 2012, in Costa Mesa, CA, she berated the audience during her set. She cursed repeatedly when she asked the crowd to sing along and of course no one knew her lyrics. Cursed, mind you, at a show that is part of the Orange County fair -- where many children are present at the concerts. She made sure to curse a few more times before she was done. I'm not a prude at all, but know who your audience is and have respect that TFF are allowing you to open their show.

While her vocals might be pleasant, her stage antics were very out there when she first started with TFF a few years ago. Check out some YouTube vids from 2012/13. She flailed around stage without her shoes on and made a spectacle of herself (and the band), and took away from the actual TFF performance. Happy to say she has, ahem, seen the light -- now she stays put, overall.

Glad you got to see this updated show and didn't have to deal with the other stuff from before.

They do put on a great performance and yes, it is a shame that NDV is not out with them. While Jamie can hold his own, NDV brought a lot more to the playing field with his style/feel & vocals. Jamie doesn't like to sing backing vocals and often opts out of doing them.

Wow! Thanks Gruno. I'm glad too because I had my 9 year old with me. She did drop the f bomb a couple of times, but it wasn't too bad. She took the abuse with good humor and humility, so that's impressive given the past history.

Jamie did sing bg, but I can't really say I heard him well.

I know these guys are pros, but seeing it was such a short tour I wasn't sure how tight and rehearsed the show would be. Glad to say it was great. Given how rare their performances are, I'm really glad I was able to catch this show.

Won't be seeing any of these shows, but "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending" is one of the most underrated albums out there. About a thousand times better than it had any right of being. It is catchier than any of their material from the 80s. It beats XTC at their own game
