“Remember, if it doesn't say "Cuneiform," it's not prog!” - THE Jed Levin
Any time any one speaks to me about any musical project, the one absolute given is "it will not make big money". [tip of the hat to HK]

I think I have a couple albums by him if he went by his last name. RIP

He was in Cluster and Harmonia.
Good god DAMN this year has had some hard losses.
RIP
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I thought Moebius would have no end. RIP.
^ Indeed.
Sad about this.
I'm doing Cluster '71, Zuckerzeit and both Harmonias this upcoming weekend. Odd to think that he was actually younger than Roedelius.
"Improvisation is not an excuse for musical laziness" - Fred Frith
"[...] things that we never dreamed of doing in Crimson or in any band that I've been in," - Tony Levin speaking of SGM
He's up there making another album with Conny... RIP.
"Always ready with the ray of sunshine"
Damn, another guy from the German electronic scene? 2015 is rough! RIP Moebius.
Man o' man. It's getting harder looking at the music news every day.
I going to have to reach back into the attic eaves & pull out some Cluster vinyl. A little quiet time for me tonight.
I've got a bike you can ride it if you like
RIP
The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off
Moebius & Plank, Rastakraut Pasta!!!
He was a true pioneer, his experiments with Schnitzler and Roedelius set my world on fire.
Spinning Musik von Harmonia now......

Some wonderful music. Originality trumps musicianship sometimes... Tonight I think I'll pull out "Rastakraut Pasta" and "Deluxe".
I love the early Clusters and the Harmonias (especially the Harmonias), but I forgot about Rastakraut Pasta, which is another solid fave....

on Rastakraut Pasta. My other 2 favorites from outside Cluster/Harmonia are "Double Cut" which is kind of Proto-Techno and the great "Cosmic Couriers" release from the 90s.
RIP!
Very sorry to hear of Dieter's passing. Rest in peace, or the electronic noises of your choosing.
We're trying to build a monument to show that we were here
It won't be visible through the air
And there won't be any shade to cool the monument to prove that we were here. - Gene Parsons, 1973
A true visionary artist. And one of my favorite ones...
I played both Klusters, "Sowiesoso", Liliental, "Zero Set" and Cosmic Couriers "Other Places" in memoriam...
RIP
"Alienated-so alien I go!"
There were actually three Klusters: Klopfzeichen and Zwei-Osterei of course, but also Schwartz was a live recording of the trio. It was released first under this title under Schnitzler's name, then later as "Eruption" by Kluster. Then of course Cluster (re-released as "Cluster '71"), Cluster II, Zuckerzeit, Sowiesoso, Cluster & Eno and After The Heat.
Don't forget Liliental's sole album.
It was their only LP, but a good 'un.
High Vibration Go On - R.I.P. Chris Squire
RIP
I saw him at least once, with Cluster on their first US tour.
I saw Michael Rother in a duo (I think, it might have been a trio, but not Harmonia) live around '97-'99, and I could've sworn that Moebius was playing with him. But alas, I have no ticket stub as I bought at the door, and in my older age, the memory is fleeting.
Played the Moebius & Plank "Rastakraut Pasta"/"Material" 2-on-1 CD last night, and found myself liking even the tracks I had always considered "duds". I played those LP's to death back when they first came out. I never got around to "Deluxe" and "After The Heat", so they'll be on tap for tonight.
