Wow. That's gonna be tough to beat, Mike.

Gee... I actually kinda LIKE that Red Sand cover....
More intriguing/entertaining than a lot of Genesis covers were to me....
Somebody actually got paid for that hideous work?
Where are all the Progressive Metal covers?
Here are a few that didn't inspire me
Echolyn

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Didn't even know Red Sand had another album out. I don't mind that Echolyn cover. TAAB2 is not great, I agree (I like the album well enough though).
I'm scanning the shelves right now for something to top these, so far nothing. Not that it matters what happened in 2012, since for me nothing will ever top Tony Banks' Strictly Inc. cover.

Most of the Blackmore's Night ones are pretty amateurishly rendered. The compositions are good enough, but the execution is weak.
Yeah, TAAB2 is one of the worst this year
As for the Rune Gramophon label, their artworks are definitely uninspired (Panzer and E9)
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

Barbie got a pet tiger for Christmas, and TSO made an album about it?

TAAB2 looks a bit like a Pappa Johns pizza box...

In defense of Red Sand: it was painted by his then 12-year old daughter, I've been told.
I thought it looked like a web site.
I like TSO but yea, that cover is awful. What's wrong with TAAB2 though? Kind of cool
