Thread: Neil Young Says He's Removing His Music From Streaming Services

  1. #26
Neil's forgetting that people still have the choice of whether they want MP3s or lossless files. (I prefer the latter, but still listen to streaming out of convenience.) However, he's also missing the biggest factor that most people don't care and are perfectly content to hear the drum machines and samples through a crappy little device. This is a guy who's first exposure to the world was being piped through an AM radio dial.

I'm more concerned with people having their noses stuck in their phones all day long and not interacting with other humans. I'm tired of seeing the tops of people's heads all the time and everyone texting at every fucking intersection.

Agreed, but it's easy for me to say - I still use a flip phone.

Me, too. When people react to my flip phone, I say, "I make calls, I receive calls. It's a phone."

I dunno. I thought Psychedelic Pill from a couple years ago was pretty darn good.

Neil Young’s music is now back on Spotify, which makes me very happy!! (Joni Mitchell too, apparently.)

See Googles if you want more info - I opted for the article with less politics. I will just say that a certain podcaster (who I've never seen or heard) isn't good enough to lick Neil Young's boots!).

'nuff said. It makes sense not to deprive people of his music - I doubt the money is a big concern to Young.

I actually like Rogan as an interviewer. I don’t agree with him on many things, especially his take on vaccines, and I don’t like all of his podcasts, but he sometimes gets some very interesting guests and can get a lot of information out of them. Of course he also hosts his share of wacko conspiracy theory people, so a lot of his podcasts I avoid.

Is that in one of his lyrics? LOL I sympathize with a lot of the sentiment, but it’s kind of humorous. Makes a good twofer with “Computer Cowboy” off of Trans.
