Seriously...she is ridiculous. Unbelievable talent.
As usual... my eyebrows are slammed north on my head! So good.
I believe I read she just got the fretless a month ago or less?!
Sick....in a good way!
<sig out of order>
Wish she would release an album of all these covers! Not usually a fan of cover albums but if she did one I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
"My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician, and to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference"
President Harry S. Truman
Listened to that and now Teen Town. She's so good....
When I saw the bass in her hand I thought... "holy smokes... I'm gonna hang up my music making career - she can play that as good as everything else too!" lol A joy to experience someone on that level.
What blew my mind was how well she hit the harmonics.
Teen Town is just amazing. Well, everything she does is amazing, but wow, that was so impressive. Rachel, keep them coming!
Iggy.......
Oh shit. I didn't know she played bass, too. Ridiculous. I am gonna hang it up.
I'm not hanging anything up! Viva life and viva Rachel!
Jeez, she's so incredibly gifted! A lot of bass players draw lines on a fretless neck, indicating where the frets would be to help them with the intonation. Obviously, she doesn't have that luxury... and apparently doesn't need it! Aside from her unbelievable multi-instrument musical prowess, she's got great tastes too; she's listening to and covering all the right stuff.
Go Rachel!
Love the vocal sax lines, sometimes it's hard to tell ... so good! Go Rachel!
Coming September 1st - "Dean Watson Revisited"!
