echolyn - I Heard You Listening

Getting excited for the new album, and the digital download that is coming this week if you pre-ordered. Brett, Chris, and Tom were being interviewed on House of Prog yesterday, and we got to hear 4 new songs. "War Jazz", "The Sound of Bees", and cant remember the other two names, but really liked what I heard, I think this is going to be another great one from the boys.

"Warjazz" is a killer. "The Sound of Bees" is a slower track that is still growing on me, but it's gettin' there! Any ideas on what the two sounded like? I may be able to help you ID them.

"Carried Home" for me. Buzby's distorted piano is beautiful.

For those of us who didn't get to hear the new tracks, could you try to describe them? How do those new songs compare to the band's recent output?

Oh yes. One afternoon, I got stuck in a loop and couldn't stop playing it. It's a perfect piece. This album's "Past Gravity".

I caught "Messenger of All's Right" from the ProgScape show this evening. I can definitely see myself wearing that one out when the album's released. Absolutely gorgeous melodies throughout.

    Tomorrow (July 17)

If you want to hear it before then, Tuesday's broadcast of Progscape radio can be podcasted (the whole album was featured: I'm currently listening to it to get a first taste).

The real question is are they getting more than 9 cents a pound for their sour cream now?

What an exciting day, ripping/burning as we speak, just downloaded a free new release/gift to fans from Wilco, heading out on vacation in a couple of hours.
You're damn right i'll be spinning some good tunes while drinking a beer, watching the sunset on a lake in a pontoon boat tomorrow night.

No code here yet. Hoping it hasn't gotten lost in the ether...Maybe they're staggering them out to prevent server overload?
