    De De Lind

    Revisited this one this AM

It was as I had recalled, some solid but second tier RPI

Equally interesting is the album title, longest ever:

Io Non So Da Dove Vengo E Non So Dove Mai Andrò. Uomo È Il Nome Che Mi Han Dato

and the fact that the band is named after the 1967 Playmate of the year

While she was admittedly quintessentially 60's pretty, c'mon man

Worth a spin in any case if you haven't heard this one

I wonder if she ever knew that there was a band in Italy named after her?

I bought the CD of the album a couple years ago. Played it once. Haven't had an urge to play it again. Should fish it out and try again.

Had the Playboy issue the month De De was in it. Hubba, hubba, hubba. Should fish it out and try again.

Looking forward to my day in court.

Never heard of either the Playboy playmate, or the band. I assume she wasn't related to Bob.

It's a fine album, but still sorts among the somewhat overrated ones as far as RPI goes - IMHO. For Tull'ish RPI I'd rather have Capitolo 6's Frutti Per Kagua.

And it's not the longest title ever; that "honour" probably goes to Moonflowers' third album, the double We Could Fly Away Never Look Back and Leave the World to Spin Silently in a Suicide Pact and all the Colours and Sounds That Pass Through Us in Space Fall Down to the Earth and Put a Smile on its Face - released on Pop God Records in 1995. Quite good as well actually, in fact it's 2,27 times better than the DeDe Lind.
