STATEMENT FROM CHRIS SQUIRE'S WIFE, SCOTLAND SQUIRE

Here is a time-sensitive statement from Scotland Squire, the wife of Chris Squire--the Grammy Award-winning bass guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and founding member of Yes--who passed away Saturday, June 27.

"My best friend and the love of my life Chris Squire will be cremated today in Scottsdale, Arizona at 3:00 pm.

However, knowing Chris, he might be running a bit late for the event; after all, he has always been the 'late ' Chris Squire.

So at 3:00 p.m. Phoenix time, please take a moment to play your favorite Yes or Chris Squire song, or just think of your favorite Chris Squire memory.

    Sending my love to all."

I give her a lot of credit.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally

she must be a strong woman to be able to joke about him always being "late"...
    admirable
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

It's not quite one hundred and eleventy degrees here, but it's hot enough that I'm honoring Chris with a Kona Brewing Co. Longboard lager rather than a glass of red.

    Slàinte!
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.
