“From thirty feet away she looked like a lot of class. From ten feet away she looked like something made up to be seen from thirty feet away.” – Philip Marlowe
While I do wish Carl had whacked his useless dad (a bad character and a worse actor), I nevertheless thought that this episode was really good.
I don't think Rick's the worst actor, but they never give him anything new to do.
I agree about Rick, he does the same thing over and over and over, fret. He just frets all the time. Sometimes he gets to fight and fret and sometimes he just frets.

I blame the writers. He's a decent actor but he's only got so much to do with. From what I have seen from the comics he's much more three dimensional there.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart
We know the writers can give characters beefy roles, Daryl, Carol, Herschel.... why not Rick?
Duncan's going to make a Horns Emoticon!!!
I keep thinking there will be a scene where Rick wakes up in the hospital, and all his family will be there with him, and then Rick turns to the camera and says, "Blimey, it was all a dream...."
Three new characters are coming to THE WALKING DEAD this Sunday:

I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.

I think Rick has been given beefy roles. He really was the center of the show when it started - much of season 1 centered around Rick, starting with him waking up in the hospital, then being trapped in a tank. Then there was the whole love triangle with Shane and Lori, leading to Rick killing Shane. Then the bit in season 3 with Lori dying and become a ghost and haunting Rick, which noted was the lamest sub story in the whole series. Rick was really irritating during this whole segment.
Then in season four, he started that story where he followed the creepy girl into the woods, and gave her 3 questions. That went nowhere. Now, he just stumbles around claiming he's no longer the leader.
Really, he's just not very relatable as a character. Everyone else seems more human, more regular guy, and Rick is very stiff. Probably the last guy you would want to have a beer with on the show... I would even prefer having a drink with The Governor, than Rick.

Well, 3 new characters introduced to the show that supposedly play a big role in the comics going forward. I have no clue how Rick will fit in with them but I suspect that he's not far from being tossed aside and made less relevant unless he man's up again.

Loved this week's episode. Nice touch following multiple stories regardless of time.
I'll save the rest for after a few folks chime in and we agree it's ok to release spoilers.

I like how this season's shaping up also.
Less dialogue adds to the dread imo.
no tunes, no dynamics, no nosebone
More Lizzy clues in that last episode. She killed the rabbits, same as the rats at the prison. Then she tried to kill the baby to save themselves. I'm telling you, Lizzy killed the two people at the prison that Carol took the heat for - because Carol taught Lizzy how to use a knife. Now, how convenient that Tyrese is paired up with Lizzy & Carol.
