Is the album out already?

A 192K file of the album leaked out last weekend. Since then, the album has started shipping and I know of some people who have already gotten it.

I played the whole thing through at work here a couple days ago. I admit, I'm not the greatest fan of the recent albums, but I was pretty impressed with what I heard after a cursory listen. It's a much better album than the rather dull, IMO, The Final Frontier. I have the vinyl version on order...it's just too bad Maiden continue to work with Kevin Shirley. The mix leaves much to be desired as the last few albums have. Just all midrange with the highs and lows sucked out....

Any news on Bruce? Looking forward to getting this but really hoping he's ok. He's a class act and deserves a few more laps around the sun.

He was given the all-clear by the doctors in May. Apparently the band had waited for that before they officially announced the new album.

After one complete listen: It's not the best Iron Maiden album ever but it's the best prog/metal album of the year. It's a fine album. Worth the wait and worth the $12.99.
