He is on bandcamp, and they offer high quality audio files, if you so choose.

Then you'll be pleased to know that you can also get CDs, from the bandcamp page.

New track from Eyot, in advance of a new album coming in October:

I'm not sure if they're really minimalist enough for this thread. But I think there's enough commonality with some of the bands mentioned here to risk it!

Oh hell yeah that fits, I'm all over this stuff.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

If you don't have them already, their last two albums Similarity (2014) and Innate (2017) are excellent.

As with Mascodagama's link above to Eyot, I'm not sure if this quite fits the minimalist jazz bill, but following his lead...

I caught the set by Ariwo during the We Out Here virtual festival over the weekend, & immediately wanted to check out more. A remarkable intersection of electronica with Cuban percussion & brass & Iranian ancestral music.

Their self-titled debut album is excellent.

^ Very nice. A little reminiscent of Ibrahim Maalouf in places (which is a very good thing, in my book).

Yes, that's a fair shout, righgt enough (on both counts!).

Pouya Ehsaei, who seems to be the main person behind Ariwo, has been collaborating more recently with alumni from the London scene - such as Joe Armon Jones & Moses Boyd. The sounds are more self-consciously "club-by" - not a bad thing in itself - but some of the distinctiveness of the Cuban influence seems to have been sacrificed.

    Glad you're liking this, Ian!

Tread carefully with the new one, though - it's a different beast. He's collaborating with some of the London alums, which is great...but the musical direction is much more dance/techno oriented. I don't think that it is quite so interesting, although there are still plenty of good moments.

Don't think he's here but he's all over Progarchives at the moment with his band suggestions and arguing altered history (Pink Floyd aren't prog, King Crimson ended as a band in '74)

I just took delivery of the new Mammal Hands album, Captured Spirits today. It's been on pretty much continuous play - I'm loving it, already, unreservedly.

Think it's available for download from bandcamp tomorrow so will be waiting on the email notification.
