“As a result, the lines of the reeds players (Nils Fischer and Claudio von Arx), together with the differenciated drum play of Philippe Ducommun, the often also ambient-like base of Simon Iten and the repetitive piano patterns and chord progressions of the composer herself create vast soundscapes and spherical hymns.”
Right up my alley !!.
Live: (digging it!!)

Pura Vida!.
There are two kinds of music. Good music, and the other kind. ∞
Duke Ellington.
I also know Blaer pianist & composer Maja Nydegger's work from Akku Quintet...

...whom I feel sure we must have discussed hereabouts at some point or other.
Akku Quintet are great and connect with Sonar via drummer Manuel Pasquinelli

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

The new "single" by the Porticos, "Trajectory", is very lovely:

2 tunes on our Imaginary Mountains EP, which are pretty minimalistic :

Yet more new music from the Porticos - funnily enough, moving in a direction not at all dissimilar to that followed by the new Ghost Rhythms music:

Hello folks, I hope you're all well in those strange times. I will buy to support artists I love this may 1st, as Bandcamp doesn't take its cut on sales to support artists and labels !
Ghost Rhythms issued two new tracks for this special date, in their EP "Imaginary Mountains". The new tracks are "Le Mont Analogue" and "Path to Oyapock".
All music was composed, arranged and executed during lockdown.
https://ghostrhythms.bandcamp.com/al...nary-mountains
The main theme, of course, is imaginary mountains found on old maps, but it is also all those mountains - even inner mountains - that we climb, if only in dreams.
I hope you'll like the new titles. I'm very proud of the work.
Cheers everyone, stay safe ! Xavier (Ghost Rhythms)

Another single out from the admirable Graham Costello's STRATA.
Down to a quartet for this outing - hopefully, a temporary state of affairs (particularly like the sax & trombone on previous recordings). But Costello is in characteristically good form, & pianist McCreadie shines.
For anyone interested, McCreadie is doing live improvisations from 2000 (BST) via his Facebook page every Tuesday evening. They have something of the quality of a (more relaxed) solo improv by Keith Jarrett; & he tends to finish off the sets by playing two or three tunes in response to texted requests from the audience...
Chaser is the single, just released, from the forthcoming new album, Captured Spirits, by Mammal Hands - due out in September.

As a wee tatster, it does exactly what it should - leaving me really keen to hear more from the lp.

Since there are a lot of folks here that like GoGo Penguin, here's an Australian pianist that sounds remarkably alike: Stuart McCowan with his new album called "The Perfect Nemesis". The title track burns:
