    Check this out:

Pretty damn good, and I'm not just saying that because they're from my home town.

EDIT: CD / vinyl available here:

I will check it out! Doing so now, in fact. Digging it so far.

Edit: Snapped it up from bandcamp. Really liking the otherworldly, aggressive, uncluttered yet sophisticated vibe. Thanks for the rec! PE is awesome.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Looking forward to that Ikarus for sure. Hoping that Wayside will carry the CD, as that's one I'd like to own on disc if possible.

    Glad you dug it!

I got the CD myself, which is cheap (£8). But shipping from the UK would probably mean that’s not a good option for those on the other side of the pond.

More new material from the Porticos (although, in fact, the tunes were recorded during the sessions for the lat record).

A perfect drop to accompany these first days of spring

A sort of minimal supergroup...an infragroup, perhaps?

Got this yesterday. To be honest I never listened to the Akku Quintet, but I'm really impressed by this live-set (containing 5 tracks, played at 4 different concerts from 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020).

It's like a Gondwana supergroup! - the sax player from Mamal Hands with the bassist from the Porticos.

    And it is brilliant!!!

Someone just recommended Nils Petter Molvaer on my radio show, really good going to pick up some of that stuff.

Bought her CD "Home" a couple of month ago after watching a documentary on new-classical composers like Joep Beving, Einaudi and Rani. She works with a E.S.T.-like jazzband too.

Checking out Nils Frahm too as he seems to be referenced. Liking it.
