Video in support of Chris Squire

    Greetings.

Never in my life did I ever think I'd start a YES thread on PE. But...

Miguel Falcao, a great bassist and Yes aficionado reached out to put together the video below. Of course, Yes occupies most of the real estate here in PE. And it really doesn't matter if you are among the camp who worship their dirty skivvies and would buy a dead cat if it had the YES logo stamped on it, all the way to those who think their music is a joke (and are probably not on this board). What matters is that Chris Squire is an inspiration for a great deal of bass players all over the world, and i am certainly someone who learned a lot about bass hearing his music. What matters is that he is ill, and we all wish him well. I was glad to be a part of it. This is the result, and I include it for those who may wish to leave him comments on the youtube page.

    Cheers!

A large pat on the back to all involved! I truly hope it brings some smiles for Chris.

Greetings. I got this email from Miguel Falcao:

    Dear friends,

I have been informed by those who have direct contact with Chris, that he and his wife have already seen the video and liked it very much.

Thank you very much again to each and every one of you!

Let's continue to send our prayers and support as we can.

    Onward!

It's a beautiful tribute. Shows the impact he had/has in the world of music. Hopefully all the healing vibes will be put to good use and he has a full recovery.

    Regards,
    Jon

Many Yesfans are as well. I believe that Scotty Squire is closely monitoring all communication to her site. All the publicly seen messages are nothing but concern and love for her Daddy. The creator of Playing For Chris,Miguel Falcao shared it with the family hours before I did anyway and the only way to do that is through Xilan's facebook page. I am pretty sure it's Scotty's page for all intents and purposes. They are very touched by the "get well" messages for Chris. Having said that,I have it on very good authority from a long time family friend that Xilan is quite brilliant for her age and does comment on her page what she is going through during this tragic ordeal.

She posted this pic from when she was 3. The caption is: "I love my Daddy" https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...f1&oe=562BEAE9

I just heard about this, would have "totally" contributed had I known about it! Any chance for a late entry? After all, Mr. Squire is the reason I bought a bass back in '72.

I had a video I thought I sent my good friend Miguel, but somehow he never got it in time. He is open to considering a part 2 if there is enough interest from people who were not part of the first one. If we can get about the same number that the original has to contribute I think he'll go for it.
