“Remember, if it doesn't say "Cuneiform," it's not prog!” - THE Jed Levin
Any time any one speaks to me about any musical project, the one absolute given is "it will not make big money". [tip of the hat to HK]
"Death to false 'support the scene' prog!"
please add 'imo' wherever you like, to avoid offending those easily offended.
Very sad indeed. http://www.weirdomusic.com/2012/12/2...s-dies-age-76/
Born in 1937 he died at age 75!
thanks for the tune
rest in peace, Ray...
And the code is a play, a play is a song, a song is a film, a film is a dance...
My favorite of all the original Mothers. Great soulful voice, great sense of humor that fit right in to Frank's wacky worldview. ("I'll never forget you, darling... well, I suppose I'll forget you eventually... in fact, I've already forgotten you. What is your name?") Rest in peace, I won't forget YOU.
This made me even more sad :
"Collins retired from music, living what has been described as an "aimless existence" in the following decades, working as a taxi driver, a dish washer and living out of a van for a number of years. His only income came from songwriting royalties and Social Security."
I met Ray at a record show several years ago. A very nice guy! RIP
Very, very sad news.

We're trying to build a monument to show that we were here
It won't be visible through the air
And there won't be any shade to cool the monument to prove that we were here. - Gene Parsons, 1973
