Rank Your Top Five All-Time Prog Bands.

I'm having this discussion on another forum and would like to how those lists differ from the lists of the inner prog community. If you absolutely had to rank your top five prog bands of all time, what would your list look like?

I'm going to go way out on a limb and put Genesis as my No. 1.

    1. Genesis
    2. Porcupine Tree
    3. The Beach Boys (no correspondence will be entered into)
    4. The Moody Blues
    5. Yes

  3. #3
Problem with my ranking is that Genesis isn't consistently prog throughout their career and my #1 pick wouldn't be considered prog at all by many people, but here it goes:
    1. Zappa
    2. Genesis
    3. Yes
    4. Camel
    5. Renaissance
Honorable mention: Hatfield and the North/National Health (they might be higher on my list had they stayed together longer)

I could put Pekka Pohjola somewhere inbetween, but he isn't a band.

Ummmmm... one of those seriously does not belong in that list.

    N' Sync.
