John Lennon’s Gibson guitar will hit auction block

Lost for more than 50 years, this is about as significant an instrument as it gets.

It sounds as if it was stolen from Lennon. How can this guy legally sell it?

That didn't apply to art stolen by the Nazis!

If I'm not mistaken, any art that was stolen by the Nazis and later discovered gets returned to the original owners.

Didn't read the whole article. Where does the bidding start? I'd think that guitar is worth millions.

It doesn't state anything about bidding or what they expect it to get. I agree it's worth a ton of money.

I'll bet it goes for 6 figures...

Apparently, it's expected to fetch "up to $800,000.00," based on one report I saw.

I can see it easily eclipsing that.

    I'd say over $2,000,000.

It's too soon. the longer he stays dead, the more valuable it's going to be. Wait for an auction in 2080 or even 2280.
