Aranis and Cro Magnon are also playing a double bill at Le Triton in Paris on June 12th. The excellent Zappa tribute big band The Headshakers (whom I've recently seen playing a great set with Napoleon Murphy Brock sitting in) are playing the same venue on the 11th.

Looks quite interesting. But I would like to know some more details, the website is not in English. for example, why is the '&' sign between two band names? (see there) are there any 'common' shows? or is every band has its own show? (prefered)

According to the website, Cro magnon and aranis will do a joint performence. Aksak Maboul will play on its own.
There are more performences to be announced. There will be Installations too ( not really my cup of thee, but who knows...)
So all in all very interesting. I'm planning on going.

    Cheers, Peter

don't exopect Aksak Maboul to sound like the two early 80's albums >> echoes from the two recent concerts they've played in Belgium...
They're more like The Honeymoon Killers' type of new wave, though

I don't know what to expect from Cro Magnon, though. Especially if it's a joint venture with aranis

Doubt that I'll miss this event, though...

I recently bought the last Aksak Maboul album called Ex-futur. I found it a bit disappointing; a bit too much electronic pop. The bonus tracks on this cd are live and much more interesting. So I keep my hopes up for this concert!

    cheers, Peter
