Jeff Oster just released his new album, called "Next". It features Nile Rodgers on one track, plus Tony Levin, Michael Manring, Carl Weingarten, Chuck Rainey and many others. I love his ambient jazz, although I must admit I came to know him because on one of his early albums the great Happy Rhodes sang a couple of songs.

Just received Jeff Oster's latest release, Live! featuring amongst other Michael Manring.
The live-setting brings Oster's music closer to jazz/fusion, partly because the dynamic rhythm-couple Manring/Celso Alberti.
