I don't mind crooners, and I don't mind that Ferry croons, but I don't particularly like his voice. I may have appreciated Roxy music more with a different lead singer.
I guess my problem with crooners is there's just so many rotten examples of them. I mean, Frank Sinatra was awesome - but who comes close?

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

So many rotten examples? hat the hell does that mean? There are so many great jazz singers in history from Bing to Billy Eckstine to Johnny Hartman to Tony Bennett .
By contrast, a huge percentage of rock and roll is nothing more than retards trying to play Louie Louie.
Actual singers replaced with "frontmen". Now that is true mediocrity .

I always describe Ferry as Elvis Lugosi ...I love his idiosyncratic delivery
