    Yup, it's not a strong album either, but the highlights are really stellar
    Yeah I agree. It was sort of a "return to form" but it just wasn't that good overall. The good tracks are great but the rest is so so.

    Even the expression a "return to form" sounds a bit abusive, since the previous albums were the OK Welcome, the excellebnt Borboletta and the great live Lotus....

    Nope, I'd say that Amigos is little more than the first "average" Santana album (on par with Festival and Inner Secrets), but with some really strong tracks, which Festival didn't have and IS only had the covers they did like Dealer, Well Allright.
