I made a thread a few years ago to share my knowledge of the world's greatest Chicago tribute band, Brass Transit. For the past seven years, Brass Transit has been touring Canada and the United States. They are a Chicago tribute band comprised of many award-winning and acclaimed musicians, from Paul DeLong of Kim Mitchell fame to Emmy Award-winning Don Breithaupt to one of the most in-demand session vocalists in the music industry, Neil Donell. Donell has lent his voice to all sorts of projects over the past few decades, including backing vocals on Triumph's The Sport of Kings. He wowed David Foster when Foster heard his voice.
They are the best band currently performing the music of Chicago, and they have received a great amount of recognition and praise. Donell can sing the parts of Peter Cetera, Robert Lamm, and Terry Kath very well, and all of the musicians are incredibly talented. Here are some quotations:

Tris Imboden, long-time drummer for Chicago, recently had some fantastic things to say about the band.DENNIS GOMES - Owner/CEO, Resorts Casino, Atlantic City
"Truly amazing and outstanding musicianship. One of the best shows I have seen in a very long time!"
JOE DONOFRIO - Six-time Grammy Award-winning Record Producer
"This is not just a tribute band, it is t-h-e Chicago experience!"
KEITH BROWN - President, Aquarius Records
"Note for note is one thing, but Brass Transit brings the sound of Chicago's music to life!"
RIK EMMETT - Hall-of-Fame Rock Guitarist, Founder of Triumph
"Brass Transit presents an evening of first-rate, top-drawer, top-notch, high-class music!"
DAVID BENDETH - Platinum-selling Record Producer, former V.P., RCA Records
"I truly hope Chicago gets to hear this band!"
RICK GALLAGHER - Entertainment Director/ Turning stone Casino, NY
"Absolutely outstanding show, these guys have done their homework!"
A few months ago they even released their own album, whose premise they decided to have fun with. What if Chicago sang some of the 70s hits of other bands?
You can hear a preview of their debut studio album, Brass Transit, here, as well as the Tris Imboden interview and live Brass Transit performance footage of "25 or 6 to 4," "Questions 67 and 68," "Wake Up Sunshine," "Make Me Smile," "Hard Habit To Break," "I'm A Man," and "Free."
They are the greatest Chicago tribute band in the world, and in my opinion, as someone unaffiliated with them, they're better than the current actual Chicago lineup. If they're playing in your area and you're a fan of Chicago, I recommend seeing them.
