Is it "Sirius," from Eye in the Sky? That's often used in a sports context.

No, that's not it - it's much more manly.
Parsons had lots of instrumentals. Manly? Sports? hhmmm... Lucifer maybe? From the album Eve.
A sample would help for those who don't know the program.
