    Dr. Who music

Here's a link about the music created for the Dr. Who program if interested: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00rl2ky

It's mind boggling that Delia Derbyshire created the original recording of the theme music using the primitive means at her disposal at the time. She once said that Ron Grainer, who composed the theme, was so stunned by the recording that he wanted her to have an onscreen credit, but the chieftans at the BBC refused it.

BTW, David Jackson's son Jake does the sound on the current Doctor Who show. I believe he's credited as "sound mixer". David was telling me about this at ProgDay, about how he wanted to use some of the melodies he had heard on the show in his work with autistic children. He said he called Jake and asked if he could ask Murray Gold, the composer, if it was ok, and Gold very graciously sent him all the sheet music and everything he needed for the musical themes he wanted to work with.
