The Bears album cover was painted by Mort Drucker, also known for his association with Mad magazine.

I think a lot of people are missing the term "painted." An ink drawing is not a painting.

I knew it! Such a distinctive style. I think Mad's Jack Davis has done an album cover or two as well.

Just checked; Jack Davis has done piles of them: Cowsills, Homer and Jethro, Spike Jones, Phantom Surfers, etc.

No coincidence that Manowar's most Kiss-like album (sound-wise) also resembles the Destroyer album cover...

You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...

Exactly, a lot of people are also missing the concept of singer i.e. not a band, and portrait i.e. a caricature is not a portrait.
The thread is not called album covers featuring musicians.

In the past I have been accused of not being sufficiently specific with my thread titles thus resulting in the thread becoming something other than I had anticipated.

NOW when I am specific and the thread title is far from ambiguous and can only be interpreted in ONE way many of you are ignoring it anyway.

A caricature is not a portrait anyway.
