John Sherwood's long form stuff is as spacey as it gets - try the Saturn Suite or Music inspired by Blade Runner

"These Last Days", the debut-album from the late Richard Lainhart comes to mind.

Maybe a bit too psychedelic, but this one's a certain classic: "The Zodiac : Cosmic Sounds".

also, a Spanish guy named Encke has a bunch of free Berlin School stuff on Soundcloud and elsewhere, highly recommended (start with "Zero Gravity" and "Paradoja de Fermi"):

    Jack Ellister: Lichtpyramide

Hadn't heard of Jack Ellister before. On his "Lichtpyramide" he focusses on his kosmische/Kraut-influences. Very gentle.

This is an older song, a Roy Harper-cover, so something completely different:

Ellister also made some psychedelic rock-records, so he's a real chameleon:

To some people "boring new age" is an automatic redundant phrase. That's the problem with the term "New Age", it pretty much damns the musical output right from the get-go.

I purchased "Procession" by Xolotl and Kobialka when it was released in 1983 and liked it a lot. It was considered as "Progressive Electronic" at the time and it certainly was not sleep inducing or boring, as I listened to it. The reviews on PA and elsewhere uphold it as an intense trip through electronic soundscapes. That's a good description in my view.

I bought the album around the same time and I found it disappointing. The same with Earthstar - French skyline.

Understood, it's a matter of personal taste like everything in music and art. I also liked Earthstars albums, both "French Skyline" and "Atomkraft? Nein, Danke". Craig Wuest was pretty good with his synth sounds, although these two albums don't match the Xolotl and Kobialka release "Procession", in my view.

Was that a widely used European phrase in the late 70s/early 80s? I think there are at least 3 albums with that as the title.

Yes, and in America too. ("Nuclear power? No thanks" was a popular bumper sticker.)

Good stuff! Thanks for posting. I think I'll wait a few days and send him a few quid on Bandcamp's last "help artists through corona" Friday.
