    Ditto!

Maybe I'll restrict it to only "International Jazz" and take it literally.

Sweet. Didn't know this was a thing.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

All day concert from Paris is streaming live from the website starting at 1 PM EST.

I didn't want Rufus or PeterG to be bummed because they missed it.

The first International Jazz Day was in 2012. I saw about an hour of that on PBS about a week ago. They had quite a lineup of musicians (George Duke, Christian McBride and Vinnie Colaiuta were the house rhythm section, though there were some other rhythm sections too, like Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette and interchangeable players like Hiromi and Esperanza Spaulding))! It shouldn't be any different today. Some of you might want to tune in...

My guess is that Rufus is rocking back and forth in a corner, trying to recover from the butt-hurt of having his latest "I hate jazz" thread getting moderated out of existence.

Just got done playing Esbjörn Svensson Trio - Seven Days of Falling.

To be fair, the "Man, I Hate Jazz" thread was PeterG's. Rufus frequently lets us know how he feels about jazz, but the closest he's come to starting a thread about it was the recent "Four Genres of Music You Avoid/Dislike" one.

Eliane Elias was just on. It's actually streaming from YouTube. I'm sure the concert will be a permanent fixture there (as the previous IJD concerts are) for those of you who have a "real" job and can't watch it from work. Um... and who give a shit.

That's the thread I was talking about Ernie. Cozy's comment to close it was perfect.

As usual, been listening to WKCR-FM,methinks now i'll spin some of the really good British jazz archival stuff i've acquired over the last year.....starting with Mike Osborne and then perhaps Howard Riley or the Mike Taylor remembrance disc.
