    Happy The Kickstarter

Zeitgeist is a collaborative music endeavor featuring members of the progressive rock bands Happy The Man, Oblivion Sun, and the Pedal Giant Animals project. This recording project started out as an idea for a Happy The Man reunion CD, but evolved to include many other musicians so another Pedal Giant Animals project was born! The music will be produced in the studios of the respective artists and at Crafty Hands Studio using state of the art recording technologies as well as some old school hardware and techniques. This unique gathering of such great musicians promises to deliver a beautiful and exciting musical experience.

    The Artists:
Frank Wyatt: Compositions, Keyboards, Engineering, Project Management
    Stan Whitaker: Guitars and Vocals
    Kit Watkins: Keyboards
    Rick Kennell: Bass Guitar
    Mike Beck: Percussion
    Cliff Fortney: Vocals
    Ron Riddle: Drums
    David Rosenthal: Keyboards
    Joe Bergamini: Drums
    Bill Plummer: Keyboards
    Bill Brasso: Drums
    David Hughes: Bass Guitar
    Chris Mack: Drums
Peter Princiotto: Orchestration, Bass Guitar, Sitar

Please visit the project Kickstarter page and the supporting website and pledge your support. Thanks everyone,
    Frank

For those who aren't a backstage member of Frank's Crafty Hands Studio, it's nice to mention that the members had the chance to follow the progression of one of the songs. In seven weekly video-updates Frank showed how the song was builded up from an acoustic piece to a fully arranged track. Very informative. It's the song "Leaving", which will now be orchestrated by the musicians.

As worthy as a project gets. I'm linking this all over my social media. Let me suggest everyone do so & we can all help have this goal met in just a few days!

    Hi Frank,

I noticed you didn't mention you were going to play the saxophone nor flute on this one. Is this correct?

Actually there may be some sax, I just felt too conspicuous with a long list of stuff after my name. As far as flute goes, with Cliff and Kit I would be third string for sure! Thank you all for your support! Simply the best friends one could ask for.

    I'm in as well.

Been re-listening to Oblivion Sun today after seeing this thread and project, and had forgotten just how great that disc was.

Please don't ask questions, just use google.

    WOOHOOOOOOOOO
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

I really only have one question ... why hasn't this happened sooner?

I have tried for years to make this happen! It just wasn't logistically plausible. Hell it still isn't logistically plausible, but it's happening!
